Aigio War Memorial

Created by sculptor Konstantinos Dimitriadis, the Aigio War Memorial stands in Psila Alonia Square and honours the men and women of Aigialeia who gave their lives for their country. It bears a verse by the ancient poet Tyrtaeus, celebrating courage and self-sacrifice. The memorial remains the city’s official site for commemorative ceremonies and national remembrance events.
