The Former Currant Warehouses are outstanding examples of Aigio’s industrial and commercial heritage. During the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, they served as centres for the storage, processing and export of Corinthian currants, the region’s most important export product. Today, they preserve the memory of the town’s commercial prosperity and its strong links with international trade.
