Ecclesiastical Museum of Aigio

The Ecclesiastical Museum was founded in 1987 and is located in the area of the Metropolitan Hall. Objects of historical signifi cance include 100 transferable images from churches like Plataniotissa, Trypiti, the church of Faneromeni, the church of Makelaria in Kalavryta etc. There is also presented the temple from the church of Voura.

In the Museum there are also manuscripts from the 11th century, holy objects, the golden epitaph of Faneromeni church etc. The visitor has also the opportunity to admire other objects of national character, like letters, guns and costumes from the rebellions of the 1821 Revolution.
