Museum of Digital Exhibits of Egialia

The Museum of Digital Exhibits of Egialia is a project realized through close collaboration between the Region of Western Greece, the Municipal Public Benefit Enterprise of Egialia (D.H.K.E.P.A.), the University of Patras, and operates under the auspices of the “Greece 2021” Committee. The museum houses digitized, documented historical material and rare archival records related to the period of the Greek Revolution of 1821.

Modern technological tools are combined with the thematic layout of the rooms on the first floor of the Panagiotopoulos Mansion—one of the architectural jewels of Aigio—as well as with interesting conventional exhibits that bring historical memory to life.

The museum’s three rooms highlight the role of the Secret Assembly of Vostitsa in the preparation and commencement of the Greek Struggle for independence, the historical events that unfolded in the region of Egialia, and finally the life and contributions of the distinguished freedom fighter, Andreas Londos.
